ESA

ESA (European Space Agency) is an intergovernmental organization for the exploitation of space, which currently has 22 member states. The seat of its headquarters in Paris and its individual centers are in the rest of Europe.

History: The ESA was established on 30 May 1975th

The new agency were unified European Organization for Space Research (ESRO - European Space Research Organisation) and the European Organisation for the Development of starter equipment (ELDO - European Launch Development Organisation), which became a part of it, named the European Centre of space research and technology (ESTEC - European Space Research and Technology Centre).

ESA program: sending its astronauts on the basis of agreements with the Russian Space Agency Soyuz to the space station ISS. Operates the Ariane rocket, which plotted a space satellite into orbit. Emit ATV, which served as a supply spacecraft for the ISS. ESA operated jointly with NASA Spacelab laboratory, which brought the Space Shuttle.
