Dragon

Dragon is the name of commercial spacecraft, developed by a private company SpaceX support within the COTS program, launched by NASA organizations. The first test flight of the Dragon Boat was held on December 8, 2010. It was the first time that a spacecraft developed by private companies successfully went into orbit and then returned to Earth. In October 2012, he fully laden ship launched to the ISS.
Construction:
This is a classic ship design with the return capsule to allow a ballistic or guided return using gentle buoyancy body. Inside the ship is hermetic space of 10 m³ up to 3310 kg of cargo. Furthermore, the planned use of the ship in the piloted mode, it will be possible to settle the cab to 7 astronauts. Part of the return cabin most of the technological systems of the ship, such as a correction of 18 rocket engines Draco thrust 400 N, avionics, power systems, fuel tanks etc. At the top of the ship is located CBM joined node. This is overlaid on startup ship aerodynamic cover. During the years of manned ship will be accompanied by a ballistic recovery system. Cab length is 3.1 meters with a cover by 4.5 m. The maximum diameter of 3.7 meters.
Dragon V2

Dragon V2, also referred to as DragonRider is piloted spacecraft company SpaceX as part of NASA's CCDev. On behalf builds on Dragon supply ship.
Carrier Dragon V2 will rocket Falcon 9, which already brings Dragon supply ship, in the future, and its configuration DragonLab. Another version of Dragon is scheduled RedDragon to transport scientific equipment or supplies on Mars. It will start at the Falcon Heavy rockets.
Focus:
It is primarily intended for transporting US astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS), according to which a contract to perform 2-6 first manned flight since 2017. Or it can be used for transportation to private space stations, such as the planned station company Bigelow Aerospace.
Landing:
Unlike other contemporary ships manned Dragon V2 will motorized land using eight engines SuperDraco without parachutes. These will have a boat for emergencies only. SuperDraco engines will also replace conventional turret for quick rescue crews from the ramp. Thanks to this method of landing will be no need for expensive rescue operation and will be more comfortable for the crew. A similar advantage only have the US space shuttle program, the space shuttle, which landed on the airport runway like a normal airplane.
Carrier:
Carrier Dragon V2 will rocket Falcon 9, which already brings Dragon supply ship, in the future, and its configuration DragonLab. Another version of Dragon is scheduled RedDragon to transport scientific equipment or supplies on Mars. It will start at the Falcon Heavy rockets.
DragonLab

Version unmanned ship designed for single years to orbit the earth for the purpose of carrying out various experiments. Carrying capacity vaunted will be 6000 kg of cargo into orbit and 3000 kg back to Earth.
The first flight of this configuration is expected in 2016.
