NASA

NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) is the US government agency responsible for the American space program and general research in regional aviation.

History: This office has been approved by US President Eisenhower, July 29, 1958.

NASA has focused on all nonmilitary space exploration.

The first programs were aimed at Nasa research into human space flight.

Mercury program: His mission was to identify and verify whether a person is not able to survive in space. That was after a successful ballistic jump and the first American who orbited the earth.

Apollo program: Originally his goal was mainly to continue the research program, Mercury and eventually reach orbit month.

His goals were but after the declaration made by former US President had changed and the task in 1970 to land on the moon and a manned return safely back to Earth. After fulfilling this task, the American interest and support of Nasa ebbed. This resulted in the early termination of the Apollo program.
